Updated Protection Plan

Currently, therapists are allowed to practice in Switzerland (yay!), so this means our office can stay open for sessions. This also means that we will continue to have a health protection plan to keep everyone safe and healthy.

These include:

  • Working from home, when possible

  • Wearing a mask within the practice, as well as during sessions

  • Providing disinfectant for clients and colleagues to clean hands, especially upon arrival or between activities

  • Keeping more than 1.5m distance between people and chairs (in the therapy room and in the waiting area)

  • Regularly airing of all spaces, especially between sessions

  • Between consultations, the chair and other surfaces must be disinfected

  • Surfaces in the common areas (doorknobs, bathroom, waiting room) must be disinfected regularly

  • In the event that we would show symptoms or have been in close contact with a person who tested positive, go into quarantine and get tested

I am also asking clients to please:

  • Consider going online for sessions

  • Wash hands upon arrival, either with soap and water or disinfect with the hand sanitizer provided

  • Wear a mask in the practice, as well as throughout the counseling session. Masks should be clean and new, with preference for medical masks as opposed to handmade ones. I can also provide you with a mask, if necessary.

  • Please do not come to the office more than 5 minutes before your scheduled session, to avoid a crowded waiting area

  • Coughing and sneezing into the crook of your arm or a tissue, as well as avoiding touching your face or adjusting your mask while in the practice

  • Staying at home if you have a fever, cough, or other symptoms, have come into contact with someone who has tested positive for covid, or have had symptoms during the past 14 days as well as signalling any positive covid diagnosis to your therapist. An online session can be requested in this case, preferably well in advance.

  • Observe the 24 hour cancellation policy, as it is still in place

  • Respect the rules set out by the Swiss government regarding protecting yourself and others

These measures are based on recommendations from the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health and the Swiss Association for Counselling and will remain in place until further notice. Any questions or concerns can be discussed with me directly.
